Jan Chandler, International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor
President and Founder

Jan founded this company in 1990 under the name Nu Beginnings, which has since become incorporated under the name Chandler Consulting Inc. Jan acquired a Certificate of Competence as an International Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor from the Addiction Intervention Association in 1994. She is also qualified as a Substance Abuse Professional, in accordance with US DOT Regulations.

Jan has grown this company into a viable and productive entity. Jan maintains a reputation in Alberta as an expert in administering Alcohol and Drug Programs in the workplace, as well as a competent counsellor in her field. She is a dynamic and interesting instructor, and is committed to teaching people about addiction and intervention, as well as recovery and personal wellness.

Ron Peterson, Addictions Counsellor

Ron joined Chandler's counselling team in February 2005. He has become an integral part of our operations, offering individual and couples counselling, facilitating groups, and assisting with all aspects of the day to day operations as Office Manager. He offers above average group therapist skills and is a dynamic counselor/educator. Ron brings to Chandler Consulting Inc. an extensive background in working with addictions, as well as other personal issues. His background includes working as Director of Pine Lodge Treatment Centre in Saskatchewan, Instructor of a community services addiction program, and a counselor for the Saskatchewan Health District. Over the past twenty years Ron has assisted individuals in resolving personal, relationship and family problems. Ron has acquired a Certificate of Competence with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Board in March 2005.

Sharon Demaray, Office Administrator

Sharon became a part of Chandler Consulting Inc. in July 2007. Sharon brings with her a variety of office experience including administration and bookkeeping, which greatly adds to her capabilities acting in an assisting role with our leader, Jan Chandler. Sharon will continue with her involvement with a variety of office procedures to help bring efficient and time sensitive service to our clients. In addition, she is now actively assisting Jan with program start up activities for new accounts and enhancing our customer service responses.

Charlene Schindel, Receptionist and Bookings

Charlene has recently (May 2009) joined Chandler Consulting Inc. and is starting in a part time position, soon to become full time. She is involved with reception and appointment booking for testing and counseling services. Her background includes experience working in the medical field, and a health and fitness related business. Whether on the phone or in person, Charlene is cheerfully ready to assist you with your needs.

Debbie Coates, Data Entry and Collector/Technician

Debbie graduated from the University of Calgary nursing program in 1982. She was employed at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for the next 12 years, working on an orthopedic trauma unit. After leaving the nursing profession, Debbie became employed in the oil industry working in the field of occupational health and safety and instructing for the Saint John's Ambulance and Medic First Aid Programs. Debbie is a Certified US DOT Collector, a Breath Alcohol Technician, a Certified Audiometric Technician and a Pulmonary Function Testing Technician. She provides the majority of our in-house testing, as well as manages audio testing and pulmonary functioning data management programs. She expects to be certified as a mask fit technician, as Chandler Consulting Inc. prepares to add this feature to our current list of available services.

Eva Campos, Part-Time Data Management

Eva manages our quarterly and annual reporting, as well as our random selection program. She is our main data entry person for our testing data software management program - DrugPak. Her hard work and attention to detail keeps our customer file systems accurate and audit ready. She truly manages her time well, working from home as well as our main office.

Yvonne Heisler, Bookkeeper

Yvonne began assisting Chandler Consulting Inc. in a part-time capacity in September 2005 as part-time receptionist. Following a year in this position, she transitioned into our bookkeeping position. Yvonne capably manages all accounts receivable and payable, and assists with the day to day financial management aspects of our operation. Her skills and experience have greatly added to our service delivery capacities.

Our Nurses

Mary Sebzda, RN

Mary graduated from the General Hospital in St. John's Newfoundland in 1972. She has worked in the medical profession since that time, and has been at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the past twenty years, working on a variety of units including orthopedics, general medical, and now is employed on a very active surgical unit. She has a genuine interest in total wellness and managed rehabilitation. Mary has gained extensive experience with assessing workplace health issues over the past years with Chandler Consulting. Mary's hobbies include sailing, aerobics and walking.

Laura Rumohr, RN

Laura combines her career at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Center with her part time contract position with Chandler Consulting Inc. She greatly enjoys working with healthy people and loves the contrast from hospital work.

Gillian Brown, RN

In addition to providing nursing services for Chandler Consulting Inc., Gillian currently works at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on the intensive care unit. Her intelligence, motivation and attention to detail have greatly added to our nursing staff potential. Gillian's interest in medicine and education, add a high degree of professionalism to our team.
