Jan Chandler, International Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsellor
President and Founder
Jan founded this company in 1990 under the name Nu Beginnings, which has since become incorporated under the name Chandler Consulting Inc.
Jan acquired a Certificate of Competence as an International Certified Alcohol & Drug Counsellor from the Addiction Intervention Association
in 1994. She is also qualified as a Substance Abuse Professional, in accordance with US DOT Regulations.
Jan has grown this company into a viable and productive entity. Jan maintains a reputation in Alberta as an expert in administering
Alcohol and Drug Programs in the workplace, as well as a competent counsellor in her field. She is a dynamic and interesting instructor,
and is committed to teaching people about addiction and intervention, as well as recovery and personal wellness.
Ron Peterson, Addictions Counsellor
Ron joined Chandler's counselling team in February 2005. He has become an integral part of our operations, offering individual and
couples counselling, facilitating groups, and assisting with all aspects of the day to day operations as Office Manager. He offers above
average group therapist skills and is a dynamic counselor/educator. Ron brings to Chandler Consulting Inc. an extensive background in
working with addictions, as well as other personal issues. His background includes working as Director of Pine Lodge Treatment Centre in
Saskatchewan, Instructor of a community services addiction program, and a counselor for the Saskatchewan Health District. Over the past
twenty years Ron has assisted individuals in resolving personal, relationship and family problems. Ron has acquired a Certificate of
Competence with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Board in March 2005.
Debbie Coates, Data Entry and Collector/Technician
Debbie graduated from the University of Calgary nursing program in 1982. She was employed at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for
the next 12 years, working on an orthopedic trauma unit. After leaving the nursing profession, Debbie became employed in the oil industry
working in the field of occupational health and safety and instructing for the Saint John's Ambulance and Medic First Aid Programs. Debbie
is a Certified US DOT Collector, a Breath Alcohol Technician, a Certified Audiometric Technician and a Pulmonary Function Testing Technician.
She provides the majority of our in-house testing, as well as manages audio testing and pulmonary functioning data management programs. She
expects to be certified as a mask fit technician, as Chandler Consulting Inc. prepares to add this feature to our current list of available
services.
Eva Campos, Part-Time Data Management
Eva manages our quarterly and annual reporting, as well as our random selection program. She is our main data entry person for
our testing data software management program - DrugPak. Her hard work and attention to detail keeps our customer file systems
accurate and audit ready. She truly manages her time well, working from home as well as our main office.
Lorraine Oakes, Receptionist & Bookings
Lorraine joined Chandler Consulting July of 2010. She brings with her many years of experience in her chosen field of Reception. Lorraine has worked in a variety
of settings including the Government, the Agricultural Industry, Funeral Service and the Oil and Gas Industry. Her love of people and cheerful and friendly nature are
evident to those she serves in her role as our main receptionist. Lorraine takes care of our clients bookings and assists with a variety of other clerical duties.
Toni-Lee Johnstone, Executive Assistant to the President
Toni-Lee joined the Chandler Consulting team in October 2010, and brings with her a variety of office experience, along with being a 'Client Care Specialist'.
Toni-Lee is best known for her ability to focus on the solution and get results. She has in the past enjoyed being in the classroom as a Facilitator, and is looking forward
to providing 'Employee Training' on behalf of Chandler Consulting in the near future! Further to this, her experience with marketing and promotions enables her to support our
clients with program start up activities and enhancing our customer service responses. As 'Executive Assistant' to our leader, Jan Chandler, Toni-Lee is dedicated to excellence,
and is eager to support you with your Drug & Alcohol testing needs!
Robin Rattink-Kazakoff,Administrative Assistant & Bookings
Robin became a member of our team in October 2011. After 3 years at the Red Deer Regional Hospital as a Unit Clerk in orthopaedics, she brings consistency and attention
to detail to our company. Her several years of experience as a Red Seal Chef, along with her time at the hospital, has taught her to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Robin books appointments all over North America, and is an integral part of ensuring accuracy and efficiency within our organization, making certain our paperwork is always
‘audit-ready’.
Susanne Baran, Bookkeeper
Suzanne started with Chandler Consulting Inc. in April 2011. Suzanne manages all of our receivables and payables, along with payroll, and assists with the
day to day financial management within our operation. She has extensive experience with bookkeeping services in the oil and gas industry. In short, Suzanne's
skills and experience have greatly added to our service delivery capacities.
Our Nurses
Mary Sebzda, RN
Mary graduated from the General Hospital in St. John's Newfoundland in 1972. She has worked in the medical profession since that
time, and has been at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the past twenty years, working on a variety of units including orthopedics,
general medical, and now is employed on a very active surgical unit. She has a genuine interest in total wellness and managed
rehabilitation. Mary has gained extensive experience with assessing workplace health issues over the past years with Chandler
Consulting. Mary's hobbies include sailing, aerobics and walking.
Laura Rumohr, RN
Laura has been actively working as a Registered Nurse for many years, always in a hospital setting. Working with well clients is one of the things she particularly enjoys about
being a part of the Chandler team. Laura likes to 'keep learning', and has just recently, successfully challenged the Canadian Nurses' Association Medical-Surgical Certification
examination.
Richard Dubchak, RN
Richard joined Chandler Consulting in 2010. His career started in the Psychiatric Nursing Program (1969) Alberta Hospital Edmonton, R.N. Diploma Program@ Red Deer College (1974),
Nursing Management Program (1990) McMaster University, Occupational Health Nursing (1993) Grant MacEwan Community College, Recovery Room Course (2001) RDRHC. His past experiences have
included medical, surgical, neuro-thoracics, psychiatry, orthopedics, cardiology & emergent care. In addition he has been involved or worked in Bowden Penitentiary, pre-employment back
assessments, immunization programs, insurance physicals, co-counseling with AADAC and dental PARR. He has also held positions including General Duty Nurse, Charge Nurse, Clinical Nurse
& Social Worker.
Gillian Brown, RN
In addition to providing nursing services for Chandler Consulting Inc., Gillian currently works at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on
the intensive care unit. Her intelligence, motivation and attention to detail have greatly added to our nursing staff potential. Gillian's
interest in medicine and education, add a high degree of professionalism to our team.
